Missing or partially missing teeth can affect more than just your confidence. It can interfere with the way you eat and the way you can speak. This will ultimately create issues with your jaw from things being misaligned or causing remaining teeth to shift into the wrong place.
Are you wondering what options you have to address these issues? Georgia Denture & Implant Specialists can help you correct the problems missing teeth can cause, helping you to restore your confidence.
There are two types of dentures that most patients will find will suit their needs, full dentures or partial dentures.
Partial Dentures
Partial dentures are for those patients who may have some teeth that remain. We can fabricate a prosthetic appliance that will replace only teeth that are missing. The denture rests on the gumline and wraps around the existing teeth. A partial denture will stop existing teeth from drifting into open spaces, causing further issues. It will also create the ability to chew properly without food getting stuck in open places between teeth. These partial dentures can also be removed for easy access when brushing and flossing.
Full Dentures
Full dentures are for patients who are completely missing all of their teeth in either the upper or lower arch, and sometimes both. When working with full dentures, our experienced team can create the smiles our patients want. We can work with the shape, color, and size of tooth replacements that our patients feel most comfortable with. Full dentures can also be combined with implants to anchor them, giving an added sense of security when eating and speaking.
